Here is an email I just received noting the date of a candidate forum for the upcoming March St Pete Beach Municipal election. Also included is a response of support from the Florida League of women voters and suggestions as to format.

We will be able to assist you with your candidate forum on Tuesday, Feb. 15th. I will talk with you soon about details. We will need to decide about which candidates will be heard first (I recommend that the commission candidates go first).
We suggest that candidates not have opening remarks, which leaves more times for questions and closing remarks. Generally one minute is allowed for answering questions and all candidates may respond to questions that are directed to a particular candidate if they choose to do so. Closing remarks could be one to two minutes. What do you prefer? How long do you intend for the forum to last?
Please send me the following information:
Length of terms
Are there term limits?
We will provide a moderator, time keeper and people to collect and sort questions. Can you provide 3x5 cards and pencils and tent cards with candidate names?
Best regards,
Mary Berglund
